What Happens at an Interim Defended Hearing in Family Law?

If your family law matter is before the Court and there are urgent or unresolved interim issues – such as time with the children or payment of spousal maintenance – the Court may order an Interim Defended Hearing.
This is often the first time the Court makes a decision in your matter when you and your former partner cannot reach agreement. The decision will be recorded in interim Court orders.
